Lead construction planning efforts, ensuring strict adherence to project contracts, specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist the Project Manager in defining project scope, objectives, schedules, and resource requirements.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure constructability, feasibility, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Oversee the development of detailed work plans, including sequencing of construction activities to optimize efficiency and minimize disruptions.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving potential issues to prevent cost overruns or delays.
Monitor progress, enforce safety and quality control standards, and coordinate field activities.
Act as a primary liaison between the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to streamline project execution.
Track, analyze, and report field modifications, RFIs, and design conflicts, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
Handle material procurement, delivery schedules, and on-site storage to prevent delays and maintain efficiency.
Review shop drawings and equipment specifications to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
Conduct field inspections to verify construction methods, material quality, and workmanship standards.
Oversee material testing procedures, verifying the strength and durability of construction materials such as concrete, soil, asphalt, and reinforcement.
Maintain detailed quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) documentation to track compliance with industry and company standards.
Develop, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling software.
Maintain all project records, including submittal logs, material logs, timesheets, and labor reports, ensuring proper documentation.
Assist in cost control by tracking project expenditures, forecasting budget requirements, and preparing cost estimates.
Prepare and review monthly invoices for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and contract compliance.
Assist in completing Estimate to Complete (ETC) reports for financial tracking and risk assessment purposes.
Provide technical expertise to resolve construction challenges and support decision-making for site activities.
Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to guide site teams and ensure accurate implementation.
Document project changes, lessons learned, and best practices for future improvements in construction processes.
Assist in acquiring and processing project closeout documentation, including warranties, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
Will work under the supervision of a licensed PE.
